Wittvogel application at Roundabout Europe 2019

Roundabout Europe is in to encourage outdoor arts. We hope we can participate in a program to get our act more international with the following motivation;

We play with our Family (father, mother and 3 sons) the production Wittvogel for some years now. We played it for the first time in the new setting at ViaThea in Goerlitz in 2017. In 2018 we played the act at ‘Nordhorn Staunt und Lacht’. We play two variants of the show. With 3 birds, clogs and guitar is it a show especially for children and to participate; With 4 birds and a clown on flute it is suitable for all ages and an atmosphere of peace veils the city and silence arises among the people.
Since we are a family it’s hard to develop the act because the best way to stay together is not to say the boys what to do. As a theater director I have set up the shows in a certain way and I am satisfied with the result, yet there are other views and we as a family like to make use of the possibilities to make our show stronger and we also want to work on our own awareness of what we bring and what we create.
During performances we noticed that we had a lot of impact on the audience, children danced with us and during a round in the city a large group walked with us. Children of immigrants became ecstatic during the children’s song Noah’s arc and the white costumes of the birds match beautifully with old cities and make life a fairy-tale. This is exactly the artistic quality which we want to achieve!
We hope to professionalize WittVogel to make it fit for the European street festivals.
